Join us in a night of celebration as we award and honour players' achievements from throughout the year, as voted on by their peers. Come and reflect on another successful year in the rebound volleyball community.
The
Leone Pedro
Award
The perpetual Leone Pedro Award is named after
Mr Leone Pedro and was first awarded in 2008.
​
Pedro was an inaugural member of the Beach
Volleyball Mania Men's Masters team that first
represented Queensland, at the Indoor Beach
Volleyball National Titles in Brisbane 2007.
​
Pedro passed away in June 2008 from cancer.
​
The 'Leone Pedro Award' is given to the
'ideal teammate'. Someone who exemplifies:
​
- selfless play
- excellent team spirit
- outstanding levels of sportsmanship
- support to other players
- commitment and dedication to his/her team
​
All players are invited to nominate one person for this prestigious award.
It will then be voted on by the RVQ membership.
​
Criteria for nomination:
​
1. The nominee must be a current member of RVQ.
2. Demonstrated a willingness to support others.
3. Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow as a sporting person.
4. Consistently shows respect and a positive attitude towards others.

This is a very special award and is greatly valued by RVQ.

At the end of the rebound volleyball season, RVQ asks it's members to nominate players who they feel have stood out during RVQ organised events.
